Made another thing!

The Justice League of America, pattern by Cloudsfactory on Etsy (though the pattern has been updated since I got it, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern the most, though Aquaman’s hair gets to be more fun), as a gift (eventually) for my comics shop, fantom comics Just need to iron the edges and get it framed. :) I’m pretty pleased how it turned out though.

After seeing Guardians of the Galaxy, I couldn’t NOT make this!

SOMEONE DID IT SOMEONE MADE A MOVING ONE

I KNEW SOMEONE WOULD DO IT

OMG YAY YAY YAY

My biggest complaint with Guardians is there wasn’t someone standing outside the theater selling me this immediately.

Woodridge, IL-based veteran LEGO builder Matt De Lanoy created this awesomely detailed LEGO model of Springfield, USA, hometown of The Simpsons. At a glance it appears that Matt thought of everything. We can see the Simpsons’ house, Ned Flanders’ house, Moe’s Tavern, Springfield Elementary School, the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, Krusty Burger, the Kwik-e-Mart, The Android’s Dungeon, Springfield Town Square, and even the Stonecutter Lodge and the Springfield Tire Fire. He also included all the proper minifigs and vehicles too. It’s a geektastic tribute to a wonderfully weird town.

Be sure to visit Matt De Lanoy’s Flickr page for many more shots of his spectacular LEGO Springfield.

UK-based street artist JPS creates playful site-specific stencils that turn puddles into oceans, wall cracks into rushing rapids, and CCTV cameras into Johnny Five. His clever creations remind us of the whimsical work of French street artist OaKoAk (previously featured here).

You can check out lots more work by JPS via Facebook or Instagram.

HATS!!

I’ve gone on a bit of a hat-making spree, and would love to share them with the world. All of these hats are designed and handmade by me. If you would like a physical hat (click photo for price) or a pattern($5), let me know!! I’ll set up a listing in Etsy and send you a link. I’ll ship to just about anywhere.

[Prices vary due to a considerable difference in the amount of time and work that go into the hat. Also, please allow a few days to make and ship the hat—I’ll get it to you as swiftly as I can, but I’m only human.]
